Our Story · Reliance Primary Care ·

Hi! I’m Rachita,

your friendly neighborhood doc.

I’m a board-certified internist with over a decade of experience in primary care. Originally from India, I moved to the United States after finishing medical school. I’m a wife to a physician and together, we are grateful to be raising our two wonderful children, a son and a daughter.

I founded Reliance Primary Care to create a space where women in midlife feel seen, heard and supported. I am especially passionate about this stage of life, and my dedication comes from a personal space.

Growing up, I witnessed my mother consistently prioritize the needs of our family. She cared for everyone around her with unwavering dedication often without pausing to think about her own health or well-being. Years later, when I became a mother, I recognized the same pattern in my own life and so do I see in the lives of so many midlife women I come across everyday.

When I look back at the women from my mother’s generation, it’s disheartening to see how they had no space or way to express their health concerns. The society and media from that time had no messaging or encouragement for women to prioritize self-care. It was all about being everything to everyone with no space or support to express their own concerns. So, it’s no surprise to me that many of our mothers neglected themselves and it helps explain why for many of us putting ourselves first doesn’t come naturally.

Starting this practice is, in many ways, my decision to break that cycle of self-sacrifice that the previous generations have been stuck in. It is my way of choosing to prioritize both myself and my patients—to create a model of care that allows space for listening, time for thoughtful conversations, and care that feels personal rather than rushed. I sincerely love what I do and I look forward to being your doctor for you to have in your corner, someone who would explain you things like a friend would.

At Reliance Primary Care, we create a space where patients feel heard, respected, and unrushed, and where trust guides every step of the relationship.
